I'm relatively new to the concept of photography as an artistic medium. I've been shooting "seriously" for only a couple of years. After beginning with a 35mm Pentax SLR two decades ago, I put up my camera for several years. Then I bought a Nikon Coolpix 8700 and discovered the creative freedom that digital provided. However, the careless ease of digital lured me back to the realm of film. This time, I explored medium format, which was new to me. In addition to the Nikon, I now shoot with a variety of vintage medium format cameras, mostly low-end mid-century consumer cameras. I believe that good images are not confined to high-end cameras.
