• Notes

  On 1880 census, he lists his PoB as IL, and parents' PoB as KY. Also gives age as 30 (1850). 11 Jan 2010 09:50:52 Most sources spell his name Argyl. However, in our family and on photos it's always been spelled Argyle. My father's middle name was Argyle, after him, and so that's how I am going to spell it here.
