  [Written by grandson Roy Seaver] Grandma Gorse came over from Germany when she was about six I think. I don't know what part tho. About all I know of her, or about her is that her maiden name was Elizabeth Hood. I think she was born in 1848. Her father and mother were both dead by the time she was 13. Probably buried at Kansas City. She had a hard time from then on as the people that raised her was awful mean to her. Her and grandpa met while she was working in a restaurant in Kansas City. She had a brother killed in the Civil War. Grandma died July 1920. Grandpa died December 1920. They are both buried in the Deerifled, Missouri cemetery.
