Notes - Sisselt is almost certainly *not* the child of Cadwgan ap Elystan. (The relationship appears in "The Visitation of Shropshire, 1623" and seems to be the source of every existing genealogy which claims this parentage.) There is nearly a century's gap between Sisselt's estimated birth (c.1170) and the accepted estimates for Cadwgan's death (c.1075). At least three additional generations are needed to complete the gap, if indeed Sisselt is descended from Cadwgan ap Elystan. However, I'm leaving Cadwgan as a placeholder in the event that a link between the two is discovered.
