Remington Portable #1, a late review
I wrote this back in February, but never posted it ’til now.

Postscript: my prediction has come true! Since writing this, I’ve acquired seven more Remingtons (nine if you count the two Remington-owned Torpedos). Other than a junked Standard #7 that I bought for parts and an early Remie Scout with a carriage issue that I purchased purely as a collectible, I love ‘em all. I’ve been calling 2009 “The year of the Remington”.

It’s funny that you posted this just today, considering that those of us with Olivander™ Calendars just flipped to September, which features a Remie Scout.

ALSO: You never update in the Blogger RSS feed. Just FYI.

That’s what Strikethru has said as well. I think it does eventually show up, it just takes a long time. I use pingomatic.com to sent out my posting notifications. Maybe there’s a problem with that. I just visited the site and manually pinged all of the services Pingomatic notifies.

You’re showing up right away via Google Reader, for what it’s worth.
Such a wild layout of the typebars when the #1 is in the “Ready” position. It looks like a cartoon anvil has just been dropped on it, smooshing it flat. Those typebars say “oof!” to me.
