No, modern slides are definitely not built with our adult wide loads in mind. Every time I take my son down the enclosed tornado slide at the playground down the block, I pray that I don't get stuck in the middle and have to have the fire department extract me with the jaws of life. I also like how not only is there a precarious cluster of children near the top of the ladder, but that there are three kids on the slide at the same time. Wowsers. Visiting the park with my son this weekend, I tried to go down the slide with him at his behest. Fun fact: modern slides are not made with adult ass in mind. Ow. My innder child is so jealous.
