They were making people fill out a survey, or some sort of advertising thing, before waiting in a Disney style rope line. The truck made this great whooshing generator noise, and the whole thing just had a tactless air about it. I passed the spectacle by, no particular reason, but I am glad after reading your post that I did. Really good post. Indeed, about the car wreck mentality.
