I am nonetheless half-surprised that they allowed even Obama to touch that Bible with his bare hand. As I'm sure you've heard by now, that's the Bible Lincoln used at his 1861 inauguration, and this is the first time that it's been removed from the National Archives. Ever. Heck, I'm surprised that they didn't make him stand inside a nitrogen-filled, climate- and humidity-controlled glass booth with it. I think that’s just a glove.
