Monda: They don't allow photography inside, which is half-understandable, half-stupid.

I'll chat with you off-blog about the imagemaps.

Duffy: You betcha! The Wilder family lived in more places than George Washington slept. In the case of Spring Valley, I think they lived there less than a year, but the town is milking it for all it's worth.

Thanks to the TV show, probably the most popular site is in Walnut Grove, MN. I grew up not terribly far from another Wilder homestead, De Smet, SD, where the town holds an annual L.I. Wilder pageant. Coincidentally, the spousal unit's aunt and uncle are currently doing a cross-country tour of all the Wilder sites.

I suspect I know what next year's Moon family vacation will be!

Strikethru: I hope not.

First of all, there's a Laura Ingalls Wilder museum?! How could Mrs. Moon not have heard of this. The t.v. program was one of the very few she was allowed to watch growing up, and today she can recognize any episode after watching about 20 seconds of it.

Nice vacation, my friend. That potluck basement sounds like the best part of the trip - did you take pictures?

A&W...well, I'M having a moment.

I'm calling my next book "Stripped of Context." I'll credit you in the intro. But only if you show me how to make those fascinating, link-riddled typecasts without using a $1,200 program.
