Duffy, you failed to mention automatically swiveling around when a child -- any child -- says "dad" or "daddy," more so if they're roughly the same age as your own kids. It's involuntary.

The weird thing is that, once you've developed that particular emotional reaction to a baby crying (usually this occurs after the birth of your own child), you can't turn that reaction off. Random babies crying at the mall or the local DQ will set your neurons firing, and you'll feel this awful need to DO SOMETHING every time you hear it.
I need an Ativan, I think.

Oy, the babies. They break our hearts.

I had a toddler throw up on me for four nights in a row last week. I know your pain. Watching her scared and sick was not fun times. And the laundry, ay dios mio.

May your baby recover shortly.

Ugh, ear infections. Even worse than teething, since it's affecting an inaccessible spot. My oldest would get ear infections at the merest hint of germs, once getting a double whammy in both ears. He and I spent a lot of nights together sleeping sort-of upright in our recliner. As with so many things with kids "this too shall pass" and your little guy will be back in form again in no time.

ObTypwriter: I see your SM4 makes the same distinctive open-o periods as my SM3. I presume it's punching through the paper? Those Olympia typefaces are fecking /sharp/

Oh, what i wouldn't give for some of that paper.

Crying babies. There's one over here right now who's growing some teeth and suffering general malaise. My heart hurts every time I can't immediately fix it.

Bless your heart. Go kiss the poopy baby and tell me where you found the paper.
